A Count of Arenberg - Cock van Neerijnen commemoration

On Friday, 22 March, at 17:00hr, a John of Ligne, count of Arenberg - Cock van Neerijnen commemoration will take place in the St. Cathrine church in Zevenbergen.

Among the speakers, will be alderman Bennie Blom, GM Shell Moerdijk Richard Zwinkels and Isabelle Vanden Hove, director of the Arenberg Foundation.

In addition, historian René van Stipriaan, whose biography about William of Orange-Nassau was recently awarded the Libris Literature Prize, will give a lecture. 

This will be a fine tribute to the founding fathers of Zevenbergen, who also feature in his book. The event will be opened and closed with a short prayer by Pastor Oosterman.

This event is organized by the local history society ‘Willem van Strijen’, the NH Church and Mr W.D.J. Schepel. People can register free of charge by sending an email to: maximiliaan@heemkundezevenbergen.nl
