More than 100 researchers have worked over the past 40 years on the family chronicle of the Arenberg family. Initially, in-depth analyses were published by region, successively: Die Arenberger in der Eifel (1987), Die Arenberger in Westfalen und im Emsland (1990), Arenberg in de Lage Landen (2002), La Maison d’Arenberg en Wallonie, à Bruxelles et au G.D.-de Luxembourg (2011), La Maison d’Arenberg en France and Das Haus Arenberg und die Habsburgmonarchie (2019). Recently, a summary was released for an international audience not familiar with the intricacies of European history: The Dukes of Arenberg. The Thousand-year History of a Noble Family (2024).
